milk - 1/2 c
sour cream - 16 oz
butter - 1/2 c
salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
bacon bits - 1 item
chives - 1 item
potatoes, boiled and mashed - 7 item
shredded Velveeta cheese - 2 lb
small tub soft margarine - 1 item

How to make sour cream potato casserole:

To the potatoes, add milk, butter, salt and pepper. Each layer should be about 1/2-inch. Layer in round casserole dish: mashed potatoes, margarine, sour cream, bacon bits, chives and Velveeta. Repeat until ingredients are gone, always ending with cheese. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
