  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
  • shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • chopped green onions - 1/2 c

How to make sour cream noodle casserole:

Cook noodles in salted water as on package directions. Rinse and drain. In skillet, brown meat in butter. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt. Add tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, chopped onions and noodles. Alternate layers of noodle mixture and meat mixture in 2-quart casserole dish, beginning with noodles and ending with meat. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
