Sour cream coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 8 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- light brown sugar
- white sugar - 1/3 c
- butter or oleo - 1 c
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Topping:1/2 c. light brown sugar1/3 c. white sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1 c. chopped nuts (optional) Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to mixture alternately with sour cream. Add flour first and last. Add half batter to greased and floured 11 x 7-inch pan. Add 1/3 topping, rest of batter, then topping. (Can save 1/3 topping and add last 10 minutes of baking time.) Bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
