Sour cream banana bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- margarine
- milk more or less - 3 Tbsp
- mashed bananas 3 large; the riper, the better
How to make sour cream banana bars:
Frosting:1/4 c. margarine2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. milk (more or less) Heat oven to 375°. Grease and flour jelly roll pan. Mix sugar, sour cream, margarine and eggs in large mixing bowl on low speed for 1 minute. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low speed. Beat in flour, salt, baking soda and powder. Stir in nuts. Spread in jellyroll pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool.Frosting: Heat margarine over medium heat until delicate brown; be careful not to burn. Mix in powdered sugar; beat well. Add vanilla and milk until smooth and of spreading consistency.
