Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- cinnamon optional - 1/4 tsp
- instant clear jell - 1/4 c
- canned cherries in heavy syrup 1 part water to 1 part sugar - 1 qt
How to make sour cherry pie:
Mix together brown sugar, clear jell, cinnamon and almond extract. Mix together with canned cherries and let set until pastry is prepared. Makes 1 (10-inch) pie. To freeze, freeze unbaked pie. Bake in 425° oven immediately after removal from fRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
