Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- each: sugar, shortening, molasses, hot water - 1 c
How to make soft molasses cookies:
Mix sugar, shortening, molasses and hot water. Stir in soda, egg and spices. Gradually add the flour until well mixed. Let dough stand overnight in refrigerator at least 8 hours.
