  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • oleo - 3/4 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Cream oleo and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Roll in small balls, dip into sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Makes about four dozen. If dough is too sticky to handle, add a little more flour.
