Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- maraschino cherries - 1 item
- juice of 1 lemon
- crushed pineapple - 1 c
- pineapple juice - 1 c
- envelopes Knox gelatine - 2 item
- coconut, flaked - 1 item
- angel food cake - 1 item
- boxes Dream Whip - 3 item
How to make snowball cake:
Dissolve gelatin in a little cold water; pour in boiling water. Put all other ingredients (except 1 box of Dream Whip, angel food cake, coconut and cherries). Line a 4-quart bowl with foil or waxed paper. Remove brown crust from cake; break in small pieces. Alternate cake with filling mixture. Place in refrigerator overnight or several hours. Turn out on plate; frost with 1 package of Dream Whip and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Cover with coconut and cherries on top. Keep refrigerated.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, > 1 day.
