  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • flour
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp

How to make snickerdoodles:

Grease a cookie sheet. Stir together the flour, soda and cream of tartar. Beat the butter for 30 seconds. Add 2 cups sugar; beat until fluffy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture until well combined. Form dough balls of 1-inch size. Roll in a mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Place balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet; flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass. Bake in a 375° oven for about 8 minutes, or until light golden. Makes about 66.
