Snickerdoodles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 1/2
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• cream of tartar - 2 tsp
• shortening part butter - 1 c

How to make snickerdoodles:

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Blend in. Form 1-inch balls and roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°. Makes about 6 dozen.
