Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 1/2
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- shortening part butter - 1 c
How to make snickerdoodles:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Blend in. Form 1-inch balls and roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°. Makes about 6 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
