Skillet herb roasted chicken
Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 1/2 c
- hot cooked rice - 1 item
- cream of chicken soup - 1 c
- skinless, boneless chicken breast halves or 6 skinless, boneless chicken thighs - 4 item
- each: sage and dried thyme - 1/4 tsp
How to make skillet herb roasted chicken:
On waxed paper, combine flour, sage and thyme. Coat chicken lightly with flour mixture. In a skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, cook chicken 10 minutes or until browned on both sides. Push chicken to one side. Stir in soup and water, stirring to loosen browned bits. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 5 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender. Serve over rice. Garnish with fresh thyme, if desired. Makes 4 servings. Preparation time: 5 minutes. Cooking time: 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
