Ingredients/Components

  • peeled and drained shrimp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
  • margarine, melted - 1/4 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/8 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • peeled, chopped tomatoes - 2 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • hot cooked rice - 2 c

How to make shrimp jambalaya:

Peel and devein shrimp. Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Combine flour and dry seasonings; blend into onion mixture. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and vinegar until smooth. Add tomatoes and okra, stirring constantly until thickened. Add shrimp and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Stir in rice. Yields 6 servings.
