Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 qt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 10 Tbsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • cooked shrimp - 1 lb
  • sherry - 2 Tbsp
  • crab meat - 1 lb
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb

How to make shrimp and crab au gratin:

Melt butter, low heat. Add flour and stir milk in slowly. Add salt, paprika, Worcestershire and Parmesan cheese. Cook until thickened. Add sherry. In 9 x 14-inch baking dish, place layer of seafood, layer of sauce, layer of cheese. Repeat layers. Bake until brown, approximately 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
