- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 3/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening
- light corn syrup - 2/3 c
- hot water - 3/4 c
- dark molasses - 1/3 c
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust single crust - 1 item
How to make shoo-fly pie:
Crumb:1/4 c. shortening1 1/2 c. flour1 c. brown sugar Beat egg. Add molasses, corn syrup, water and baking soda. Pour into bottom of crust.Work together the crumb ingredients until crumbly. Evenly spread crumb mixture over liquid. Bake 15 minutes at 400°, then 20 minutes at 350°.
Delicious served warm and topped with whipped cream.
