Seven layer salad
Ingredients/Components
- coarsely chopped celery - 1 c
- shredded cheddar cheese - 2 c
- medium head of lettuce, shredded - 1 item
- T sugar - 2 item
- coarsely chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- coarsely chopped Spanish onion - 1 c
- frozen green peas, separated and thawed - 1 pkg
- strips of crispy bacon, crumbled - 8 item
How to make seven layer salad:
Arrange lettuce on bottom of clear glass bowl. Add the other vegetable in layers. Do not toss! Spread mayonnaise evenly over the top. Sprinkle with sugar and layer the cheddar cheese on top. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Sprinkle bacon over the salad before serving. Makes 10-12 servings.Recipe categories: American, Salads, Vegetables.
