Ingredients/Components

- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sifted cake flour
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- Beat together the Crisco and sugar
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 2/3 c
How to make red velvet cake:
Mix coloring and cocoa together; let set. Beat together the Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and continue beating. Add coloring, cocoa and vanilla. Stir well. Alternately add cake flour and salt which have been sifted together and the buttermiRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
