  • Judges 5:25 butter - 1 c
  • Jeremiah 6:20 sugar - 2 c
  • Jeremiah 17:11 eggs - 6 item
  • Samuel 14:25 honey - 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Kings 4:22 flour
  • Amos 4:5 baking powder - 2 tsp
  • pinch Leviticus 2:13 salt - 1 item
  • Judges 4:19 milk - 1 c
  • 1 Samuel 30:12 raisins - 2 c
  • Nahum 3:12 chopped figs - 2 c
  • Numbers 17:8 slivered almonds - 2 c

How to make scripture cake:

Make this a family project to look up all the ingredients. All are found in the Bible (King James Version).

Cream first 2 ingredients; add third (one at a time); add fourth ingredient and beat well. Mix ingredients five, six and seven and add with ingredient number eight. Stir in ingredients nine, ten and eleven. Bake in two greased loaf pans at 350° for about 1 hour or until done.
