  • Jeremiah 6:20 sugar - 2 c
  • Amos 4:5 baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Judges 4:19 milk - 1 c
  • Judges 5:25 butter - 1 c
  • 1 Samuel 14:25 honey - 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Samuel 30:12 raisins - 2 c
  • Numbers 17:8 slivered almonds - 2 c
  • 1 Kings 4:22 flour
  • Nahum 3:12 chopped figs - 2 c
  • Jeremiah 7:12 eggs - 6 item
  • pinch of Leviticus 2:15 salt

How to make scripture cake:

Make it a family project to look ingredients up. All are found in King James Version Bible.

Cream first 3 ingredients. Add 4th ingredient and beat well. Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk. Stir in almonds, figs and raisins. Bake in 2 greased loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour or until done.
