Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 item
  • oil - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1 item
  • red wine - 1 c
  • scallops - 1 lb
  • dash of black pepper - 1 item
  • beef bouillon cube - 1 item
  • Brussels sprouts - 1 lb
  • to 2 garlic cloves - 1 item
  • chopped, peeled tomato - 1 item

How to make scallops with brussels sprouts:

Boil Brussels sprouts in water and salt for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a frying pan or pot, saute the chopped onion and garlic in the oil. Dissolve the bouillon cube in the red wine. Add the tomato and cook mixture for 5 minutes over moderate heat. Reduce heat; add the scallops and cook for 3 minutes. Add the cooked Brussels sprouts. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
