  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
  • tomatoes - 6 c
  • toasted bread cubes

How to make scalloped tomatoes:

Cook onions and pepper in margarine until tender. Peel and cut fresh or canned tomatoes and measure 6 cups. Mix with all ingredients except 1/2 cup bread cubes. Sprinkle top with remaining bread cubes and bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
