Scalloped tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- tomatoes - 6 c
- toasted bread cubes
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Cook onions and pepper in margarine until tender. Peel and cut fresh or canned tomatoes and measure 6 cups. Mix with all ingredients except 1/2 cup bread cubes. Sprinkle top with remaining bread cubes and bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
