- Velveeta cheese - 1/2 lb
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- buttered bread cubes - 2 c
How to make scalloped onions:
Cook onions until tender; drain liquid, about 1 1/2 cups. Thicken with flour, cut in cheese and bring to a boil; simmer until cheese has dissolved. Pour over onions and put in 2-quart baking dish, covered with buttered bread cubes. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Onions.
