Sausage breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 item
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- slices bread - 6 item
- bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
- shredded Longhorn cheese
How to make sausage breakfast casserole:
Remove crusts from bread and spread with butter or margarine. Place in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and set aside.Cook over sausage until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well. Spoon over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese.
Combine eggs, half and half and salt. Mix well. Pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.
