Salted peanut chews
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- corn syrup
- Rice Krispies - 2 c
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- mini marshmallows - 3 c
- salted peanuts - 2 c
How to make salted peanut chews:
Topping:2/3 c. corn syrup1/4 c. butter2 tsp. vanilla1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips2 c. Rice Krispies2 c. salted peanuts Heat oven to 350°. In large bowl, combine and mix all base ingredients except marshmallows at low speed until crumbly. Press in bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven 1 or 2 minutes or until the marshmallows begin to puff. Cool while preparing topping.In large saucepan, heat corn syrup, butter, vanilla and chips just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in cereal and nuts, then spread over marshmallows. Chill and cut into 36 bars.
