Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cracker crumbs - 1 c
- can salmon - 1 item
- Sauce: liquid from can salmon
How to make salmon cakes:
Sauce: liquid from can salmon1 Tbsp. butter1 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 egg salt and pepper to taste Drain and save liquid from can of salmon. Remove skin and bones from salmon. Mix salmon, egg, salt, pepper and cracker crumbs. Shape into patties and fry until crisp and brown.Make sauce by combining flour and melted butter and then adding milk, liquid, egg, salt and pepper. Cook sauce until it thickens. Pour over cooked salmon cakes.
