Ingredients/Components
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- plus 4 Tbsp - 1/2 c
- grated onion to taste - 1 item
- Russet potatoes, peeled and soaked in salt water - 1 lb
How to make russian potato pancakes:
Grate potatoes fine. Combine all ingredients. Fry in 1/16-inch oil until golden brown and crisp, 3 to 4 minutes each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with sour cream, applesauce and/or grape jelly.Recipe categories: Pancakes and waffles, Breakfast, Main dish.
