Ingredients/Components
- turkey, thawed - 10 12
- paprika and butter or other seasoning - 1 item
- stuffing if desired - 1 item
How to make roast turkey:
Baste turkey and place breast side down on roasting rack in baking dish. Calculate total cooking time, allowing 9 to 12 minutes per pound. Divide total time in half. Microwave at High 10 minutes. Reduce power to 70°. Microwave remainder of first half of total time.Turn turkey breast side up. Shield with aluminum foil as needed. Insert probe in meatiest part of thigh. Set temperature at 175°. After turkey is cooked, let stand, tented with aluminum foil 20 minutes. (Internal temperature will continue to rise 10° to 15° to complete cooking.)
