Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- raisins - 1/2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- rice, cooked - 1 c
- skimmed milk
- corn oil or margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make rice pudding:
Scald milk. Add sugar, salt and margarine. Stir until margarine is melted. Slowly add milk mixture to eggs, stirring constantly. Mix in rice, raisins and vanilla. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until knife inserted is clean, in a 350° oven.Variation: Can add 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
