Rice almondine
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chicken broth
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- dill weed - 1/2 tsp
- toasted sliced almonds - 2 Tbsp
- Minute instant brown rice
- frozen cut green beans, thawed - 1 c
How to make rice almondine:
Cook and stir onion in hot margarine until tender. Add broth, lemon juice and garlic powder. Bring to boil. Stir in rice. Return to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in green beans, almonds and dill; cover.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Long Grain rice.
