  • sugar
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • baking powder
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • Add egg and milk
  • diced rhubarb - 6 c

How to make rhubarb cake:

Blend first 5 ingredients with pastry blender. Add egg and milk. Press dough into bottom of 9 x 13-inch cake pan and up on the sides a bit. Place rhubarb into cake shell and sprinkle with Jell-O.Topping:1/2 c. flour1 1/2 c. sugar6 Tbsp. butter Blend flour, sugar and butter together. Sprinkle mixture over the top of cake. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
