Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- baking powder
- shortening - 1/2 c
- Add egg and milk
- diced rhubarb - 6 c
How to make rhubarb cake:
Blend first 5 ingredients with pastry blender. Add egg and milk. Press dough into bottom of 9 x 13-inch cake pan and up on the sides a bit. Place rhubarb into cake shell and sprinkle with Jell-O.Topping:1/2 c. flour1 1/2 c. sugar6 Tbsp. butter Blend flour, sugar and butter together. Sprinkle mixture over the top of cake.
