Lemon crinkles
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- grated lemon rind - 1 Tbsp
How to make lemon crinkles:
Heat oven to 350°. Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly. Blend in lemon rind. Blend dry ingredients and stir into sugar mixture. Roll into 1-inch balls and dip tops in granulated sugar. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
