- cream cheese - 8 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- red food coloring - 1 oz
- cake flour
- Wesson oil
- Frosting:1 box confectioners sugar
- stick oleo, room temperature - 1 item
How to make red velvet cake:
Frosting:1 box confectioners sugar8 oz. cream cheese1 stick oleo, room temperature1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans Cream shortening and sugar together. Add one at a time the food coloring, vanilla and eggs; mix well. Sift flour, cocoa and salt. Add flour mixture and milk to cream mixture then blend in vinegar and soda.
