Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- plain flour
- nuts, chopped
- Wesson oil
- bottle red food coloring - 1/2 oz
- Filling:1 box powdered sugar
How to make red velvet cake:
Filling:1 box powdered sugar8 oz. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped1 tsp. vanilla Mix all together as any other cake. Beat well. Makes 3 layers. Preheat oven to 350°. Cook until done.Icing: Cream together the cream cheese and butter. Add sugar. Add flavoring, then the nuts. Spread on layers.
