- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 2 c
- soda - 1 Tbsp
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1 c
- plain flour
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Frosting:1 stick butter
How to make red velvet cake:
Frosting:1 stick butter1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar1 c. nuts Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Add vinegar and food coloring; beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk and vanilla; beat well. Pour into 3 cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese; add vanilla and sugar. Mix well; add nuts. Spread on cool cake.
