Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 3 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- plain flour - 2 c
- chopped black walnuts - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Wesson oil
- 1/2 sticks margarine - 1 item
How to make carrot cake:
Icing:8 oz. pkg. cream cheese1 box powdered sugar1 1/2 sticks margarine2 tsp. vanilla Sift all dry ingredients twice. Combine sugar and Wesson oil and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients slowly. Add carrots and nuts, then blend and pour into three layer pans which have been greased and sprinkled with flour. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.For Icing: Mix all ingredients together. Beat until fluffy, then spread on cake after it has cooled.
