Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour
- warm water - 1 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make quick rolls:
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt, egg, shortening and 1 cup of the flour, stirring until smooth. Cover and let rise 30 minutes. Stir down batter. Spoon into 12 muffin cups, about 1/2 full. Let rise about 30 minutes. Bake 15 minutes at 400°.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
