Quick fudge frosting
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- unsweetened chocolate - 2 sq
- sifted confectioners sugar - 3 c
- vanilla extract or 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp
- hot light cream or evaporated milk, undiluted - 1/4 c
How to make quick fudge frosting:
Melt chocolate over hot water. Remove from heat; let cool. In medium bowl, combine butter, sugar, salt and 3 tablespoons hot cream. With wooden spoon, beat until mixture is smooth. Add chocolate; continue beating until frosting is thick enough to spread. Add vanilla.Makes enough to fill and frost an 8-inch or 9-inch 2-layer cake.
