Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- heavy cream - 1 pt
- chopped onions - 3 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- bacon - 1/2 lb
- nutmeg to taste - 1 item
- frozen pie crusts - 2 item
- Swiss cheese, cubed or sliced - 1/2 lb
How to make quiche:
Fry and crumble bacon. Fry onions in bacon fat. Divide between crusts. Layer cheese on top. Beat together eggs, cream and seasonings. Pour into crusts. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then turn to 325° for 20 minutes or until set. Freezes well after baking. Can be cut frozen and heated as individual pieces.Recipe categories: Egg, Cheese, Main dish.
