- sugar
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pumpkin pie spice - 2 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- sticks butter or margarine, melted - 2 item
- can pumpkin 2 or 2 1/2 c - 1 or
How to make pumpkin pie cake:
Mix the first 6 ingredients in order given. Pour in ungreased 9 x 13-inch or 11 x 15-inch pan. Sprinkle cake mix over filling. Pour melted butter over top. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until knife comes out clean when inserted halfway from center. (For an 11 x 15-inch pan, bake at 375° for about 40 minutes.) Serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped topping.Note: This can be frozen.
