Pumpkin pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- shortening
- molasses - 2 Tbsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- scalded milk
- cooked/can pumpkin
- 9-inch pie shell or make your own
How to make pumpkin pie:
Crust:1 1/2 c. flour1/4 c. water1 1/2 c. shortening Preheat oven to 450°. Mix all ingredients, except milk, until well blended. Add scalded milk. Filling will be very soupy. Pour into 9-inch uncooked pie shell. Preheat cookie sheet in oven to put pie on while cooking. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 40 minutes.Given to me by my Grandmother, Catherine Martin.
