  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • pumpkin - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 item

How to make pumpkin cookies:

Mix together shortening and sugar until creamy. Add egg, pumpkin and vanilla and blend. Combine all dry ingredients and blend into batter a little at a time. Add raisins or nuts. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
