Ingredients/Components

cinnamon - 2 tsp
vanilla - 2 tsp
milk - 4 Tbsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 2 c
brown sugar
butter - 3 Tbsp
soda - 1 tsp
confectioners sugar - 1 c
baking powder - 1 tsp
pumpkin - 1 c
egg - 1 item
shortening - 1 c
pecans - 1/2 c
white sugar - 1 c
dates or raisins - 1/2 c

How to make pumpkin cookies:

Icing:1 c. brown sugar3 Tbsp. butter4 Tbsp. milk1 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cream the shortening and white sugar. Add egg and beat. Add remaining ingredients. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.

Icing: Cook brown sugar, butter and milk for 2 minutes. Add confectioners sugar and vanilla. Spread on cookies.
