Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pumpkin - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
How to make pumpkin cookies:
Icing:3/4 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. butter4 tsp. milk1/2 c. brown sugar1 c. powdered sugar3/4 tsp. vanilla Cream the shortening, sugar and pumpkin. Add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Drop from a tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Ice with icing while still warm.Icing: Cook butter, 3/4 teaspoon vanilla and brown sugar until dissolved. Cool a little and add powdered sugar and 3/4 teaspoon more vanilla. Spread on warm cookies. If icing hardens, reheat.
