Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 4 item
- flour
- water - 2/3 c
- oil - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- pumpkin - 2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- walnuts
- cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice or 2 heaping Tbsp
How to make pumpkin bread:
Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or 3 coffee cans. Mix the sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin and water. Sift dry ingredients and spices. Add to pumpkin mixture with raisins and nuts. Fill loaf pans or coffee cans 2/3 full. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°. Let stand a few minutes. Remove from cans and wrap in foil.
