Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- raisins - 3/4 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- margarine, melted - 3/4 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- pumpkin, drained - 2 c
- self-rising flour, unsifted - 2 c
How to make pumpkin bread:
This will have to be mixed by hand because of the thick texture. Put the first 4 ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well. Put dry ingredients in sifter and sift into pumpkin mixture. Mix well. Add raisins and nuts last. This is a thick dough. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Vegetables.
