Pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
- can pumpkin - 1 lb
- softened margarine - 3/4 c
How to make pumpkin bread:
Lightly grease 2 (9 x 5-inch) loaf pans. Preheat oven to 325°. Sift flour with salt, baking powder, soda and spices, then set aside. In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat sugar with butter just until blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Continue beating until light and fluffy. Beat in pumpkin. At low speed, beat in flour mixture until combined.Turn into prepared pans. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes. Turn out on rack to cool.
