Ingredients/Components
- buttermilk - 1 c
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- sugar
- vanilla, salt and soda - 1 tsp
- prunes with juice cooked prunes - 1 c
- nuts if desired - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice - 1 tsp
- Filling:1 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- Karo - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make prune cake:
Mix as you would any cake and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Filling:1 c. sugar1/2 tsp. soda1/2 c. butter2 c. buttermilk1 Tbsp. Karo1 tsp. vanilla Put all together in boiler, except butter. Add butter when done. Do not beat.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
