Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1/3 c
  • granulated sugar - 1/4 c
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • dairy sour cream - 2 c
  • flaked coconut - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine, softened - 1/3 c
  • Betty Crocker SuperMoist German chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg

How to make praline cheesecake:

Heat oven to 350°. Beat cake mix (dry), 1/2 cup coconut, the margarine and 1 egg in a large bowl on low speed until crumbly. Press lightly in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch.

Beat the cream cheese, 2 eggs, the granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla until smooth and fluffy. Spread over cake mixture. Bake until set, about 25 minutes.

Mix the sour cream, brown sugar and 1 tablespoon vanilla until smooth. Spread over cheesecake while hot.

Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Cut into diamond squares. Makes 18 servings.
