  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • large eggs - 5 item
  • sticks butter soft - 2 item
  • Swans Down cake flour

How to make pound cake:

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour. Bake at 325° in greased and floured or sprayed tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
