Honey baked apples
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 3 Tbsp
- raisins - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- honey - 1/3 c
- large baking or cooking apples - 6 item
- cinnamon stick 2-inches long - 1 item
How to make honey baked apples:
Core apples to within 1/2-inch of bottom. In a cup, mix walnuts and raisins. Fill the cored apples with the mixture and place in a baking dish. In a small saucepan, combine the water, honey and cinnamon. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Remove cinnamon and pour over apples. Bake, uncovered, at 350° until apples are tender, about 45 minutes, basting occasionally. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Apple.
