Potato dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/3 c
- hot mashed potatoes - 2 c
- egg whites, beaten until stiff - 2 item
How to make potato dumplings:
Mix ingredients in a large bowl in order given. Place on floured board and roll to pencil thickness. Cut into 2 or 3 inch strips. Drop into boiling salt water. Cook until they float to top.Recipe categories: Potato, Vegetables, Midwestern u.s..
